The Gentleman Tracksuit
December 2020
This tracksuit was a gift for my teenage brother, Henry. He wanted a tracksuit from his favorite movie The Gentleman. I drafted and constructed the entire ensemble from the references in the movie. Since I had more to go off of than a single still image, it was easy to see all the style lines, and infer what kind of materials it was made out of. Both the jacket and the pants are made out of plaid cotton flannel, quilted with one layer cotton batting, and lined with polyester lining.
The jacket is a unique raglan sleeve bomber style jacket, with faux leather welt pockets, and it fully lined. The patch was hard to tell from the movie (I found out later that it was a skunk, which was related to the plot), so instead I reimagined the Skelton family crest. The pants are fully lined, quilted, and has two single welt pockets as well.
