Quilted Jacket
March 2020
This jacket is based on the Sumo Puffer by 7115NewYork. I really love the design and coziness of this jacket, and wanted to make it myself. The jacket was easy to recreate since the shapes are mostly rectangles. I used a periwinkle cotton double gauze, and two layers of cotton batting. Everything was quilted first, then each piece was sewn together. I finished the inside seams with bias tape made from the fabric. A couple problems that arose after completion of the project was the batting. The batting on some areas on the jacket are puckering, and folding over within the fabric. This is just a result of the batting not being tacked down, and was easily fixed.
